Minneapolis police arrested seven people, three adults and four juveniles, early Saturday, October 24, on suspicion of burglary of a business, fleeing police on foot and trespassing at the Basilica of Saint Mary, after a security monitoring company called 911 just before 1 a.m. The adults were booked into Hennepin County Jail and the juveniles were released, and the police juvenile unit leads the investigation. The church, which is in the middle of a renovation, reported damage and expects a repair estimate Monday. The arrests are allegations, not findings of guilt.
