Riyadh airport stays closed until Oct. 17 after Houthi attacks
King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh will remain closed until 2100 GMT on Oct. 17, according to a new notice to airmen, after a series of deadly Houthi attacks; Saudi aviation authorities said the suspension is to verify the facilities' safety. Saturday's strike killed at least 12 people and injured more than 300. The U.S. Embassy urged Americans to use extreme caution at all major Saudi airports, and the FAA warned U.S. airlines about Saudi airspace. President Trump has said the U.S. may join Saudi Arabia against the Houthis.
