Two firefighters hurt in three-alarm fire on East Franklin Avenue in Minneapolis

A three-alarm fire burned a commercial building that appears to be a former dollar store on East Franklin Avenue in Minneapolis on Sunday afternoon, affecting two connected buildings. FOX 9 reports two firefighters were hospitalized with minor burns and heat exhaustion after shelving fell and blocked their exit; both got out and were released. The cause is under investigation. A neighboring building holds Native American records, which its executive director calls the oldest Dakota language archive in Minnesota.
