U.S. updates travel advisories across the Middle East over Houthi threat
The State Department updated travel advisories for more than a dozen Middle East countries, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar and Oman, citing the threat of attacks by Yemen's Iran-backed Houthis. Officials said the attacks "have the potential to escalate rapidly" beyond the immediate area and cited the potential for flight disruptions, while saying the update is "not indicative of new capabilities from the Houthis."
