Polls close in Brazil's presidential race between Lula and Flávio Bolsonaro
Polls closed Sunday in Brazil's first-round presidential election, in which President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva seeks a fourth, nonconsecutive term against Flávio Bolsonaro, son of former President Jair Bolsonaro. Pre-election polls showed a close race. Votes are being counted; if no candidate wins more than 50% of valid votes, the top two meet in a runoff on October 25. Voters are also electing governors, senators and lawmakers.
