Flávio Bolsonaro edges Lula as Brazil heads to an Oct. 25 runoff
With nearly all ballots counted in Brazil's presidential first round, Flávio Bolsonaro had about 47% of the vote and President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva about 45%, according to Brazil's state news agency. Neither passed 50%, so the two meet in a runoff on Oct. 25. Bolsonaro outperformed final polls, which had shown Lula slightly ahead.
