Tropical Depression Nine forms in the Gulf, could become Isaias
Tropical Depression Nine formed in the Gulf of Mexico on Tuesday afternoon, and the National Hurricane Center says it is forecast to strengthen quickly. It is expected to become Tropical Storm Isaias and could become the Atlantic season's first hurricane. Forecasts show a possible landfall between Louisiana and the Florida Panhandle late Friday or early Saturday, with heavy rain and flash flooding possible well inland.
