Iran says the U.S. reply on reopening Hormuz is 'insufficient'
Mohsen Rezaei, who heads Iran's Supreme National Security Council, told state media the U.S. response to Iran's seven conditions for reopening the Strait of Hormuz is insufficient. He said Washington accepted some conditions but left others unresolved, and that Iran is no longer responding until the U.S. clarifies. The U.S. has rejected Iran's proposal for Iran and Oman to jointly manage the waterway and says ships should have free passage under international law.
