North Korea fires several ballistic missiles; one flew more than 900 km
North Korea fired several ballistic missiles from the Pyongyang area toward the sea off its east coast on Monday morning, South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said; one flew more than 900 km. Japan's vice defense minister Takashi Koyari said at least two missiles were launched 17 minutes apart, the second flying more than 910 km on a possibly irregular path, and that this year's launch count is more than double last year's. South Korea's presidential office said the launches violate U.N. Security Council resolutions.
